Avengers: Endgame, Movie Review: You Return With A Smile As The Dead Come Alive

Go for this last hurrah. Trifle predictable, but yet sufficiently racy. Avengers: Endgame is brilliantly shot and you wonder when will India ever produce such an experience

Avengers--- Iron Man (Robert Downy Jr), Bruce Banner Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Captain America (Chris Evans), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) and Paul Rudd (Ant Man)--- sulk, sulk and sulk about the decimation caused by Thanos... but giving away anything further about the story will open all the doors to the entire plot- how they get motivated, how they get together, what they plan and how they carry out their motive.

But...wait, wait, wait. It's always wrong to get carried away. What slightly disappoints in Avengers: Endgame is the film's predictability factor (in total contrast to Infinity War) after they set out to execute, it's just too much. You practically know what's the next scene coming, you can easily guess what's the next dialogue! Plus, the film in totality fails to give justice to every character. The battle against Thanos (Josh Brolin) should have made more adrenaline flow. Less josh in that vital part of the last hurrah. Would have also loved to see Thanos a little more in presence and ferocity.

But you still come out with a big smile on your face. Avengers: Endgame is an unforgettable experience. It's extremely satisfying. It's brilliantly shot and you wonder India will India ever produce such an experience. Above all, it's made in such a way that even if you haven't seen the previous part(s), it still seamlessly flows in your head. Most importantly, there's a lot of emotion--- which is so missing in the superhero films we have made, barring Koi Mil Gaya. Hope Bramhastra doesn't miss the bull's eye.

And behind that smile is a heavy heart. Something that has been a part of your life will cease to exist. It's what you feel when the person at the other end wants a relationship to end while you wan't it to continue.

The message in the end about racial terrorism stays with you. Conversations about family ties and friendship add warmth. Add this to the brilliant visual effects extravaganza. Hulk and Ant Man run the 'outshine race' and it's a photo-finish, with neither the head not the nose separating them at the winning line.

All said and done, Avengers: Endgame is worth your ticket. Whatever it takes.

I am going with FOUR.
